Hi Scotty, i have a 2004 volvo s80, 2.9. Runs great and smooth but hard to start. i changed fuel filter, air filter, cleaned all connections. bought a new battery. When i pulled out the plugs to check them, they were new. But they were Champion. I dont think these are the correct plugs. Would the spark plugs make the car hard to start even though it runs so smooth??

A temp sensor isn't going to ever give long crank times - a crank or cam sensor might though

Ok tell me the fuel pressure while the engine is off and exactly how you checked that

i tried that but its still hard to start. Im thinking maybe the coolant temperature sensor. Any thoughts?

Not likely the plugs - check to see if the fuel pump and fuel system is losing pressure when engine off - try turning the key on and off three times then try starting it - sounds like its losing its prime
