Hi scotty. I have a 2004 suzuki verona s model with 107,000 miles. I repaced the maf sensor, clean the throttle body, replaced valve cover and intake manifold gaskets and changed spark plugs. when I start the car it idles fine at 600 to 700 rpm, when I put it in gear it idles 1,000 to 1,300 rpms. the throttle body is fully electronic. What could be causing the high idle?
1/ While you were cleaning Throttle Body, did you test & clean PCV Valve ("rattles" when you shake it)? 2/ Have you tested Idle Air Control Valve and Throttle Position Sensor? 3/ Run professional OBDII Scan on it-- let us know-- what Live Data or history Fault Code(s) are stored? Scotty throttles this issue here:
any idea what might be causing the high idle
yes my fault
Assume you mean 1,000 to 1,300?
