Hi Scotty, I have a 2003 Hyundai XG350, I worked on my car a few days ago, replacing a broken heater hose, decided to take it for a test run, took about 10 times(It didn't want to start at first, I assumed I had no gas since the car was sitting for a few months) the instant I got it to turn over I shot down to the gas station. After about 15 minutes of driving, I would hear a really loud rattling/cackling noise, it gets louder ONLY when I accelerate.

It shut off by my house wouldn't turn back on. Tried cranking over, heard a pop and it started smoking a little.

I would appreciate it if you could push me towards a general direction of what I did wrong and I could look into fixing.
I bought this car a months ago and haven't been able to drive it at all. It's just sitting gathering dust, and unfortunately due to life it has became my only form of transportation.

I watch your videos constantly to try and piece together what might have went wrong, I could really use your help Scotty

  • New battery
  • Not overheating
  • Not leaking
  • Smelled of electrical burning

cracking rattling noise on one of those is generally BAD news, like rod knocking and engine blowing up inside. Perhaps start with a compression test of the engine.
