Hi scotty, i had an oil leak started from 1week ago, it was just a few drops, then the last 2 days it leaks for about 8 ounce every morning i check my garage floor. Then this day i was driving home, my dash says "low engine oil pressure, STOP!". Then i stopped immediately. I then saw the oil marks all the way the road i was driving to. Then a few minutes ago i checked the dipstick and the oil was empty. I checked the floor and it was full of oil bled out from the engine. I wondered it was quite abrupt massive oil leak. I have a volkswagen touran 2,0L fsi engine 2004 model. I was thinking maybe oil pan leakage? Or oil pressure switch? Or oil pump? Badly need your advice.

Hi scotty, i found where the leak was. Its from the oil cooler, right above the oil filter. Do you have any advice? Where should i start?

A friend of mine had a similar problem. I found the leak, he never replaced the oil filter! If was leaking from the oil filter gasket!!

It's sunday here and have no open shops. I dont have that dye. Im gonna tow it to the service center on monday. But do you have any idea why it leaks very fast? I refilled around 3L of oil just to start the car safely again to park it on a safe place but i think the oil just bled to fast for just like around 20-30 minutes.
