Hi Scotty, Hope you're doing well. I'm from Pakistan and have been following you on YT for quite some while now and have found your DIY repairs and maintenance videos very informative, useful and entertaining all at the same time. Well, here's the problem: I bought a brand new Toyota Corolla in November last year. It's the 11th Gen Corolla. It has accumulated 9000 kms only, so, it's essentially brand new. Of late, I've started hearing clunking noise from the brakes while braking in reverse. No sound is heard when braking while driving forward. There are no problems with the braking itself. The brakes work just fine. I went to the local Toyota dealership and had the vehicle inspected under warranty and even had brake service carried out on it. But the Toyota mechanics have not been able to diagnose the cause. The shims were also in place and the pads were re-greased. But the annoying clunking noise is still there. In the end, they concluded their inspection. In order to give you a better understanding of the situation I'm in, I've made a video of it which can be accessed by clicking the link below:

Hope to hear from you soon.

Best regards,

Ali Mujtaba, Islamabad, Pakistan.

I would assume brake pads were not installed right with the correct sized shims, or something is wrong in the rear suspension. do this video to pinpooint the sound
