Hi Scotty,

Hope you are enjoy the summer. Vehicle : 2009 honda civic ex sedan Problems:

  1. Vehicle stationary - Idling Exact a week ago, I noticed some noise coming from the hood for the very first time, sounds like metal to metal, cranking noise I guess? But could not figure out why. After checking engine oil dipstick and engine mount. Seems like engine mount is broken because the engine was moving up and down when it is under torque. But I could not really tell dipstick, cause the one on my car is a plastic one with orange color. So, could it be the engine is burning oil and move around while driving?
  2. Vehicle on the road - driving I have been having a squeak that speeds up as you accelerate and clunking noise comes up sometimes. Feels like squeak is always there while clunking noise only last for a few seconds. Would it be some issue related to accessories or belt? Or even something even worse like engine and transmission?

I tried my best to describe the issue, and up there are my wild guesses. Your opinions are professional and valuable, look forward to your responses.

Thanks a lot and happy weekend.

of course replace broken mounts , but if noise is still there, knowing those, often internal VVT valve train damage
