Hi Scotty, greetings from Croatia. I own Renault Megane 1,4 e Classic from 1998. It' s car in good state and it has only 120 000 km. I bought it from the first owner with whole service history from official service dealer it ride like a dreams but I'm starting to have some issue when I drive it a long period of time and it gets realy warm. It is 1,4 e engine with 75 HP and standard 5 speed manual transmission. When I drive for long period and engine warm up for example I'm cruising on open road around 90-110 km/h let say about 16 km and then slow down and downshift it start to losing power like it is going to stall and dashboard starts to flash high and low intensity and then I press gas pedal and it works again excellent. Next issue is when i going to shift down for example 4th gear to 3rd od 2nd gear shitf stick won't let me so I need to release clutch and press it again and then it goes in wanted gear. I need to mention that it happens sometimes not all the time. For the first problem is it possible that is something wrong with air intake and it's have false air like we called it here or something else? and for transmission problem, what can it be what is your opinion? I look in service book and couldn't find that clutch was replaced I mean bearing, presure plate etc could that be the issue or just fluid is out of date completely. Also in service book it says when you need to service and change everything but I could find anything about transmission. Thanks for your answer. Danijel

pressure test the fuel pump to see if it's weak first, also change the fuel filter first

Also I need to mention that I changed timing belts and belt tensioners and everything about that before 4500 km and it worked completely fine until temperatures droped around -5 Celsius to max +5 and then it start to losing power and working unstable.
