Hi Scotty,

Are 2012 mini cooper s clubman vehicles good/reliable? My mom owned it and put 3,000 miles on it and kept in garage for 3 years. Then she gave it to me for school and it now has 51,600 miles on it so far. I accelerate softly (no 0-60 runs ever), change full synthetic oil my self every 10,000 miles or once a year which ever comes first. No mechanical problems yet. Changed battery once so far but noticed it taking longer to start so I took it to an Interstate Batteries and their machine showed it was not putting out 550 crank amps so I will be replacing the battery soon. Should I be looking for a new/used car that is more reliable? Should i be prepared for an expensive fix soon? Thank you for your videos!!! I used your car battery video to see how to tell the age of a battery before I buy one :)

I know the vehicle is old, has some miles, but the AC runs in the summer, heated seats are nice in winter, but I just cant afford an expensive repair so that is why if you recommend something, I will look into it. I am in Arizona btw.

Thanks!!!

If you can find a fool to pay decent money for it now, sell it fast. If you can't get anything, heck drive it with that low mileage. You never know what anyone will pay. Eventually they all become money pits but can run a bit longer babied

For expecting expensive Mini's Maintenance, yes. Since they being owned by BMW, parts cost too much money and tend to become Endless Money Pit as they aged or when hit 100k miles

If your Mini Starting to fall apart, look around for used Toyota or Honda if you want something to last 300k miles or more and saving lot of money at the same time
