hi scotty and everyone, I have an engine that smokes out of the exhaust pipe, makeing a big cloud (blue smoke, i know its burning oil) after starting when it first idels down, and whenever i put a load on it starting at a stop light hauling a trailer etc. Ive replaced the pcv valve and am thinking its valve seals, any thoughts and anything i can try to add to the oil to help seal them up?? the motor was rebuilt around 70,000~ ish miles ago by previous owner and im not sure if its internal because motor is fairly new. thanks

Yep, that's usually what I see with do it yourself rebuilds that only fix the easy stuff like rings and valve seals. Often times there are other issues that require a machine shop to rectify, like boring the block cylinders and truing up the bearings & surfaces, as well as the cylinder heads requiring work like surface planing & valve guide replacements.

blue is a combo of burning oil and burning metal, so baically engine is wearing out inside, a LOT more than just valve seals.I would change the oil and filter, add a good oil treatment like lucas oil treatment, then live with what it does. Odds are guy did a half ass rebuild 70 thousand miles ago
