Hi Scotty and all community. I have a 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan with the 3.6 pentastar motor. Currently 117,000 miles. I have the Hum unit by Verizon hooked into the computer port. It keeps e-mailing me saying I have a P0740 code for transmission and torque converter. The check engine light is on. I've had it to 2 transmission shops. They put their computer on it and it matches the code the Hum is giving. They both said just change the fluid and filter for now so that's what I let the second shop do. He changed the fluid and filter and told me that the old fluid wasn't that dirty and no real amount of metal shavings in the pan. He cleared the code and the the code and check engine light came back within 100 miles. I've left it alone because the transmission shifts absolutely fine at all speeds. It's been about 7,000 miles since I had the fluid and filter changed and no issues. The wife runs this thing up and down the highway daily with the grandkids. She puts anywhere from 700 to 1100 miles a week on it. The issue I have is it will be time to re- new the license plates and I have to get emissions check done and it will be an automatic fail if I pull in with the check engine light on. Any suggestions on what else it could be or what kind of shop should I take it to to get this resolved??? Thank you in advance.

yep, my advice, get rid of it rather than spend thousands on the tranny

well that is an internal failure in the transmission, It will not go away.
