Hi Scotty. 2015 Mitsubishi RVR (Outlander Sport in the USA) with front wheel drive, 2.0 liter 4 cylinder, manual transmission. I change the oil and filter every 5000 miles (8000km) and when I do it I also change the manual gearbox oil every time. It holds 2 and a bit quarts, so I bought a few cases and it's just a few extra minutes. I change the brake fluid every spring as the clutch shares a reservoir with the master cylinder. I also change the coolant every spring as our temperature in Celsius frequently goes from +15 degrees down to -30 degrees within the span of 24 hours in winter. My question is, is it a total waste to do this or do you think I'll see longevity benefits to my manual transmission, brake system and engine with this way short intervals? Also, the photo shows across the street from the end of the driveway, the north Atlantic ocean by Halifax harbor in Nova Scotia Canada. Every time I'm under the car I touch up the undercoating with Fluid Film year round..easily 6 times a year. Same question...any benefit to the frequency, and any down side?
