Hi Scott, I need your input recommendation on scanners

Chicago Eddie

Hi Scotty,

I’m Eddie from Chicago. I’m new to your world Scotty I need your input recommendation on scanners.

I don’t know much about scanners the one I have been using is an old Actron CP9035I it just pulls/erases codes that’s it.

I do all my own work on my cars and sometimes side jobs. I need to finally get a decent inexpensive scanner for myself.

Something that can perform:

Read/clear codes
Read live data when road testing
Read vin #
recommend what to do and cost
Read entire vehicles history of fault codes if possible
Cancel out cylinders
Cancel Injectors
Miss fire diagnostic
Fuel system diagnostic
Emissions diagnostic
Trans fault codes
ABS/SRS diagnostic
reset oil service

As I mentioned I'm new here so I have not seen all your vids from what I seen so far you showed 4 type of scanners you use.

I looked these scanners up on Amazon.

BlueDriver Bluetooth Pro OBDII Scan Tool for iPhone & Android - $99
ANCEL AD410 Enhanced OBD II Vehicle Code Reader - $44
Autel MaxiDiag MD806 Automotive Diagnostic Scan Tool - $199
Autel Maxidas MP808 Automotive Diagnostic Tool - $779

** Which scanner do you recommend would be the best scanner for me?? Hopefully it has free updates, if not oh well.

Maybe the Autel MaxiDiag MD806 Automotive Diagnostic Scan Tool - $199??

Also...

Would it be a good idea to have the BlueDriver Bluetooth $99 as well??

Where would be the best place and prices to purchase the scanner that you will recommend?

Thank you for your help!!
