Hi folks! I'm here to ask a few questions about my 2010 VW Tiguan Wolfsburg Edition.

At the end of the post you'll see a picture attached with an estimate from the dealer on what needs fixing. I do have smoke coming out of the engine bay, and a strong smoke odor in the cabin. I have a general idea of how to fix these things on my own, however, I have a new issue that has came up. A bunch of the dash lights have come on all of a sudden and won't go away. The airbag light, the parking brake light, the steering wheel light, and srs light...I think that's it.... Anyway as you can see, I have a lot going wrong with this car. I know what you may be thinking "Just trade it in for another car! Save yourself the hassle!" Well, that would be fine and dandy if i had money to make payments on a new car. This car in its current condition would be lucky to pay off the down payment. So i am on an adventure to fix it myself.

On to the questions: --1 As stated in the quote from the dealer, they want to "reseal lower timing belt chain" How does one go about doing that? --2 Would any or all of these issues cause all these dash lights to come on suddenly? --3 Is there any way to diagnose all these lights and come down to find the problem and implement a solution? --4 Is there a way to /obtain/ the repair manual for this car? (again, I am extremely tight on funds)

yes, they are piece of shit cars . But if it runs but leaks oil, oil is cheap, keep adding it. Then drive till it falls apart entirely and get a toyota next time
