Hey Scotty! Now that the weather is getting cooler, I've noticed that I have a heating issue with my 2006 Lexus RX400h. It isn't overheating and the temp seems to be staying where it's supposed to. It takes about 10 min for it to get to temp at idle, but the radiator hose never really gets hard to squeeze no matter how long you let it run. I do get hot air from the vents while I'm on the gas, but not at idle or moving slowly/low RPM. The pressure tank was full, but the overflow tank was nearly empty. I added about 1/3 of a gallon of coolant to the overflow and it went down a little bit (in the tank) after running for 10 min, but still no heat at idle. I have no visible external leaks and the oil looks fine (so no internal leaks.) So I'm thinking it's air-bound or the radiator cap (or both), and I also have that pressure tank so maybe that cap too. I tried going to my local Autozone to get the kit to test the cap, but they don't have one. Also, if it is air-bound, how do would I bleed it/get the air out? What do you think, maybe just the cap(s) or do you have any other suggestions? Thanks!
