Hey Scotty, my Papa owns a '06 Chevy Uplander. The problem is, it isn't running. It cranks fine and the battery was just replaced, but when it starts, the engine makes a scratching noise and then sputters out. I think it's a misfire and we don't have any code scanner for the car. What do you think it is?

@ScottyKilmer Thanks scotty, sadly my phones microphone is damaged. We went by what you said and looked at the pistons. You were right, they were worn, lot's of carbon buildup, and one had a small crack. You were a big help. We're putting in a new engine for it. And I'm getting a new phone soon as well.

make a video, post it here. Scratching noises are often worn pistons meaning the engine needs rebuilding.
