Hey, Scotty man. I've been a HUGE fan of your channel for over 6 months now and I've learned so much! I just wanted to say thank you for everything man and I would love to visit your shop one day, I am from Dallas, Texas but I recently moved to Tucson Arizona, which brings me to this question about my car. I currently own a 2015 Nissan Versa S and it likes to stall on me and what's funny is it's not pulling up any codes nor is the check engine light on. Now my best friend told me it might be a fuel pump issue because we were driving for a while and we noticed a strong gasoline smell and I have noticed that smell off and on and around those times it would stall while on the road and I would have to pull over and start it back up only for it to hesitate to start and when it did and I shift it into drive it jerked into drive then jerked when I shifted into park, it also picked up speed very slow even when I tried flooring the gas it didn't do anything it just kept moving slow. I am very worried because I am a Uber driver and I worry this will happen when I am working. So what do you think this might be man? I will appreciate the response and I know I can count on you man, thanks

you smell gas, it hs nothing to do with pump cause the pump is inside the gas tank and if it leaked, you wouldn't smell anything from inside the sealed gas tank. Check to see if gas is leaking externally, and fix that. BUT if gas smell comes from the exhaust pipe only, it's running rich from a fuel injection or ignition failure. It would take a real pro to figure that out if check engine light is not on, we mechanics analyze live and mode 6 data on that
