Hey Scotty ! Love this group and The You Tube Channel ... you’ve already saved me a small fortune in repairs ... not to mention angst when it comes to auto service. I have just acquired a 2007 Ford Five Hundred SEL that was part of an estate sale with just under 98,000 miles on it . It has been garaged for the last 2 years, and has been well maintained over it’s lifetime, though it does need lower front control arms/ball joints. I’d also like to purchase a new battery for the vehicle as well, but I’ll com back to that shortly. Question regarding control arms is, would I need to perform a wheel alignment immediately after the control arm installation ? Have to get that done at a separate facility that would require a drive of a short distance, say 8-10 miles, would I be doing any harm to vehicle/other suspension components if not done immediately ? Battery replacement question for this vehicle : could I go with a different battery group size which would give me a considerably higher CCR number, in this case 850 vs 640 and does that do anything to adversely effect the vehicle’s electrical/charging system ? In terms of group size, I’d be going from a group 36R to a group 65. I live in one of the northern New York State suburbs and feel that the extra amps would be of benefit. Any help and advice would be most appreciated ! Many thanks !
