Hey Scotty its me again. I have a 2007 Toyota 4 Runner SR5 4.0L V6 4WD, and the panic alarm don't work. It will only work if you press the button on the key. I have had the window down, and opened it that way. Held down the door sensor with my finger, than let it go once i locked it. I have even jimmied it but nothing, it does cut power to the door lock and unlock buttons when its locked. But i do know the immobilizer works because i had a key cut at lows and didn't work to start the car but i tried this because i wanted to see what would happen if the immobilizer was working. Could the last owner have had the Toyota dealer do something to it. It only has 40,000 miles, so i cant think anything could be Wong with it besides it being 10 years old. The previous owner only put 4,000 miles on it a year. I don't know what to do because i park it in a not so safe place for 2 hours during the day. If you have any thoughts let me know thanks!
OK i will try it thanks again Scotty
heck, that old, live with it. No one works on those systems other than replacing the modules and wiring if bad. BUT, heck, why not just try another remote or batteries in it and pray?
