Hey scotty, I needed advice on a salvaged vehicle. There is a dealership that specializes in buying salvaged cars that look as if it can be repaired and be back in working order. A company has posted a 2016 Subaru Brz for 15500, He shows pictures of the salvaged vehicle and tells us what exactly they replaced. Is it worth it to buy the vehicle given the salvage history. The listing is right here https://sacramento.craigslist.org/ctd/6166309436.html i spoke to the guy he was very helpful and very informative. Just not sure because of the arguments between getting one and not. Thank you for the answers!

So that means that the fuel pump and electronics will probably go out sooner than normal.

Never buy a salvage vehicle, especially if it has been totaled, no if, ands, or buts. Things might not be working right after the vehicle has been fixed up. Plus, when they have not been in a wreck, those BRZ/FRS twins tend to have fuel pump and electrical problems.

Insurance wrote off a late model car over some cosmetic front end damage? A likely story....

I personally NEVER buy salvaged vehicles, the insurance companies total them for VERY good reasons. You will have no factory warranty, once they are totalled that's gone. And ask him about what warranty he will give ON PAPER. But regardless, I'd never buy such a vehicle myself. All my customers who've done that the last 49 years kicked themselves later.

Oops, got some information wrong. 16500, 2015 model. I believe he was willing to go down to 15500 for me thought.
