Hey Scotty I need your help ASAP so basically I saw your transmission fluid change on Grand Prix Pontiac online and followed so first thing that happen to me is that I did everything right first time but then the new filter I bought from auto zone wouldn’t go in all the way In so what I did is I used the old cap from old filter and put it in the new filter and it still didn’t go all the way I’m not sure if I have to force it in there so then I couldn’t get it all the way in so I closed it with the metal cap that goes down there with the “20screws” but I didn’t but the black rubber gasket around it ( I know dumb of me) I closed it but then I added the fluid and it was leaking so I took it for a test drive around my neighborhood and was still leaking but was driving fiber actually it was just leaking, so I opened it again and added the black rubber gasket that goes around it but the filter still wasn’t all the way in just enough from it to hold up there. And I closed it and leaking stopped but now my car does not wanna do no shifts I put on break and Drive and nothing. Could it be because oil filter is not all the way in ??? Should I open it up again and force it in there like the first time I did it but this time put black gasket and Close it correctly ? What do you think I should do? I need answer ASAP please I need car before Monday for work!!!! Thank you I’m advanced !!!! 😀😀

Did AutoZone sell you correct gasket part? Is new gasket an exact size & shape match to old one? Yet another of one million reasons to buy OEM parts, in your case ACDelco, if you bought aftermarket.
