Hey Scotty, I just recently learned how to drive a manual. And so far so good. But just today while i was driving it seemed like i couldn’t get the car to go, i was in gear and as far as i have learned i was doing it correctly. But the car wasn’t accelerating but the RPMS were climbing and the car was revving extremely loud and i just couldn’t get it to situate and run as normal. I kept trying to change the gears to the one it would accelerate in but nothing was working. After pulling over and turning the car off for about five minutes it drove fine for a little while and now it’s doing it again. I’m pushing the gas while in 1st or 2nd gear and RPMS are at 3000-4500 and it’s barely rolling. I watched a few videos and from my research (I’m not seasoned in car knowledge at all) it seems like the clutch may be slipping? Btw, it is a 05 Scion XB. Please give me some kind of direction! I can try to capture a video if that would help but I’m already a nervous wreck when it is driving right. ~~~ and no I do not ride the clutch nor do I try to sit in first gear at a red light, I try to only use it when I’m actually about to go in motion ~~~
