Hey Scotty, I have the 88 Toyota Corolla with a 89 engine. I tried the Lucas in the trany fluid like you said and reverse works a little better after I did that. It’s more of a 50% chance to do it automatically, but now I can put the car in R and push it back with my left foot for a second out the drivers door and it works do you know why? Anyways my new question is there is a pully wire thing that I noticed was disconnected from a throttle that’s in the engine bay. Can you tell me what it is and if there’s a vid out there for it? I’ll try to put a picture of it with some arrows where it starts and ends.

that's the cruise control assembly. As for tranny, live with it, it's going out and repair is more tdhan car is worth
