Hey Scotty, I have a friend who never listens to me when I tell him he car a car problem. I mean never. Oil to low, injector leaking, clutch noises. You name it the guy just ignores it and answers I don't have the money to fix that now. He bought a Diesel Mazda 3. I told the guy take me with you to buy it, I'll plug in my scan tool, inspect the car and tell you if it's worth buying. His response. The guy I'm buying it from is a friend and a mechanic, you should know that it won't have any problems. I said OK smarty. After he bought it I told him dude there's a sensor laying on the inside of the bumper in water, it will short out, answer I couldn't be bothered with that now, I have to fetch my wife. I mean really.
Now, 2 months later, I plugged a battery load tester onto the car, the battery is bad, but it cranks and starts, charging test is bad, no data. Charging system error. Plugged in a scanner and pulled these codes.
C1994, P1632, P0335, P1609, P138B, the injector is leaking so damn bad you can hear it blowing. Black death on the way.
I don't trust this guy at all, and I have the feeling I shouldn't work on his car, because he'll blame me for some issue his negligence caused.
What do you think?
