Hey Scotty I have a 2003 Mitsubishi eclipse 2.4 with a 130,000 an my timing slipped no broken teeth belt is still good it didn't happen when I was driving it seem to slip when I started my car the next day I went to turn it on an it just didn't start an it backed fired ... I'm confused do you think anything major happened to my engine? It was working fine the night before it was running smooth ..

An also the belt is not snapped an the markings are still on there I'm just confused why out of the blue this happened?

Do you think it's worth fixing? An also how come it didn't happen when I was driving?

valves bend on those when that happens, time for rebuilding the head or put in a used engine
