Hey Scotty, I have a 2000 Camry 2.2L, car tends to overheat (not all the way but above normal) when she idles, for a brief moment the fans will kick in and cool down the car but like it has a late reaction to it almost like a lag of some sort. Could it be a bad sensor somewhere for the fan?

Thanks in advance!

How could I find out if it's the temp gauge itself or if it's the sending unit or receiving unit that's screwy somewhere?

Hey Scotty reporting back to ya with an update. Got a new sensor and it's still persisting. Now the mechanic I went to actually has a mechanism where it checks the temp of the actual engine itself and he says it's been reading 180° F so meaning the temp gauge is supposedly what's faulty. This maybe could be a good video for viewers to find the root of a faulty temp. Fingers cross though that's the problem, he says the car runs find just leave it alone but eh I'm hard headed lol. If you think it's anything else other than that let me know! Thanks!
