Hey Scotty I have a 1997 GMC Yukon 4 wheel drive automatic that started leaking where the transmission meets up with the transfer case and wanting to know what could be expected to hear from transmission repair shop on what the problem could be and coast with the understanding that it needs u joints inner tie rods all around brake replacement basically the whole front end because it is all original parts that it came with from factory and has close to 300,000 miles and other than this mishap everything still running strong no problem shifting or major red flags before this happened in fact it didn't actually start to leak till later that evening with no warning no sound nothing just a trail of fluid that let me know not to drive until inspected further any advise would help have had a really bad run of car problems and paying for repairs to find out they didn't actually replace part to what was fixed wasn't what they said was the problem and back at square one I'm pretty good doing most things myself but at a stuck point because to see alot of my cars info need live data OBD2 to diagnose and my old truck has been the only reliable vehicle I have trust to get around with 4 kids untill now

that old thing is on its last legs anyway. But try some T 205 reseal to see if it will stop leaks, otherwise giant job pulling it apart to fix it
