Hey scotty i have 2003 Nissan Altima 2.5 l I bought the car and when I got it I instantly had to change the ignition coil number two I changed it and it still ring kind of rough but not as bad I ended up cleaning the throttle body along with the Mass Air Flow Sensor I then had a new code that popped guess what it was once again the same ignition coil went bad so I ended up changing it a second time I then cleaned up everything again and it ran a little better but not great so then I had a new code that popped it and it said o two sensor I then finally replace the O2 sensor in the old one was shot I put a new one in the Universal O2 sensor and then it ran a little better check engine light went away but then I had a new code that popped it was camshaft position timing over or advance and also I was having my oil light come on . He's so I check the oil in the oil was really dark almost black and I went and looked at the oil filter and it look like it was the original oil filter for the car and when I ask the guy when I bought the car he said he just got everything maintenance so I went ahead and bought a new oil filter and 5 quarts of high mileage oil because the car has a hundred and eighty thousand miles on it so it ran a little better but still whenever I come to a stop and drive it starts idling rough almost wanting to stall out but when I pop it in neutral while stopped the RPMs jump back right I also forgot to say that whenever I changed the ignition coil and clean the throttle body I did throttle body relearn but I'm still puzzled and I cannot figure out why this is still doing it I saw some of your videos how about the idle air control valve but when I looked into it there is no idle air control valve for a 03 Nissan Altima then it was just an electronic throttle body and thath there was no idle air control valve if you can help me please let me know thank you so much for taking your time and reading this
You've got to get that leaky water pump replaced. Yes, it will cause you problems.
Hey scotty i wish i knew how to send you a video of it i took tge video earlier and just realized another problem im having is that it appears that my tensioner pulley is what is making the weird knocking noise and also while looking at that right above that pulley is my water pump and i can see antifreeze dripping but do you think that could cause my car to hesitate and habe a rough idle when at a stoplight but when its in park or nuetral it quits and idles about 700 rpm but in drive it idles about 500 rpm
I have a obd2 reader but currently there are no codes coming up but the last code that was on their was the camshaft positioning timer advanced but i have driven 341 miles and still no code has popped
