Hey Scotty! Been watching your videos for a bit now and you obviously know your stuff! Wondering if you'd mind making a vehicle recommendation for my situation. I'm currently driving a 2015 Chevy Sonic LTZ hatchback. Just hit 100,00 miles. Have a bit to pay on the loan yet, so I'm looking at maybe another year or so before I move on to a new one. I like the car, and I've always been a Chevy guy. But this is what fit my budget and my credit score at the time. However, it doesn't quite meet all of my needs. I live in central Minnesota where we have 2 seasons....winter, and road construction. So I'm definitely looking for something AWD. For my day job I have a 20 mile freeway commute. No big deal. But here is the most important factors in determining my next vehicle. On the weekends I am a working musician. So I need more space for my gear. (A couple of guitars, amp, a couple of utility cases and a suitcase usually). Needless to say I'm packed to the gills in my Sonic. It fits, but is very uncomfortable and it blocks much of my visibility in the rear. Also, I put in a lot of miles! I'm on the road playing shows every weekend not only here in MN, but all of the neighboring states as well. A 3+ hour drive is not uncommon. So I need something reliable that won't break down far from home, and something that can take a lot of miles. My first instinct would be to go with an Eqinox (Being a Chevy guy). But I see you talking a lot about Toyota Rav4 and Honda CRV. It seems the CVT transmission may be my only options in a newer model. I'll want something with low miles as I do put on a lot of miles very quickly. I'd like to keep the MPG's in the high 20's and 30's if possible. Seems like The RAV4 and CRV might be capable of what I need. Thoughts?
