Hey all, first time asking on this, so I’ll try my best. So I’m interested in buying a 2015 Dodge Dart 2.4L SXT, 6-speed automatic from a dealership. Has about 33k miles and looks to be in decent condition.

Now I’ve watched some of Scotty’s videos and he basically says buying and that is Chrysler is basically a sin. (Not denying that) I’ve did a little research on the Darts and have looked over some of their major issues or flaws, which I found were two major ones.

The first being the engine tends to die/stall when slowing down or going slowly. Apparently this issue has been fixed due to just adding oil. Which brings us to the 2nd issue, is that everyone says the car burns through oil.

Can’t remember the exact numbers, but most people would have to put in a qt about every 1k miles. I believe this is mainly the cause of the engine just being poorly designed, but don’t know for sure.

I’m wanting to know if the car is worth buying (only going for about 10.5k), and if so what could I do to try and prevent these issues. Or should I just try and shy away and looking for better. I’m open to thoughts and ideas. Thanks!!
