Hello Scotty! I was checking JD Powers and they have the 2016 Elantra rated more reliable than the 2016 Civic. Is that true? I was looking at getting a 2016 Honda Civic EX but I want to be sure that was a reliable model and year for the Civic! Thanks so much for any insight!

Stick w/ roadtested reliability. Just get a Toyota Corolla or Camry.

Hondas have weak automatic transmissions. If it is Standard and non-turbo, you are fine. 2015 or older is advisable for taking advantage of depreciated price. Get a Toyota Corolla Manual transmission if you want the BEST of the BEST.
