Hello Scotty ! I'm in Portland and I've watched your videos for a long time. Thank you for making them ! I was wondering if I could pick your brain on a 1987 Corvette. It has a dougnash 4+3 overdrive unit, which I just rebuilt, and the super t-10 bolts to the front of that. My question is my shifter rattles violently in 1st, 2nd, 3rd gear, but not 4th. I've replaced the shift forks and otherwise it shifts smooth. The only exception being sometimes it's hard to engage the gears even when the car is off, and reverse gear grinds every time unless I slam it in. Do you think it's a clutch issue or something else ? Also there is a chirping noise that goes away when I set my foot on the clutch pedal. The people before me had installed the end of a spark plug wire onto the end of the slave cylinder push rod, i believe that was to adjust the length. Anyway thank you for your time and reading this.

After fixing the grinding issue I still have the issue of the shifter moving back and forth. Do you think I have to clock my drive shaft ?

I would change the clutch entire assembly out myself and get rid of that rigged part
