Hello Scotty. I'm a new subscriber. I have a 1996 Honda Civic DX hatchback, for some reason Spec D-tuning and other companies say that their exhaust packages won't fit my car, I think because its too short or something according to other people/installers/part swappers. My check engine light is on and the computer code shows its the catalytic converter. I'm just not wanting to put a brand new catalytic onto an old rusted pipe exhaust system on my old Honda. I want to install a whole new exhaust system from headers to the tail pipe. What brand or make do you recommend for an old 1996 Honda Civic DX hatchback? To my amazement my car runs well and its still kicking but I'm sure it wont pass emissions here in the state of Georgia until I replace that catalytic converter. I was told a new exhaust will also give my car a little more horsepower for those times when the A/C is on "Southern Summer Heat" and it feels like I'm running on 3 cylinders when I turn the A/C on. Will a new exhaust system maybe help give it a little more boost to horsepower? Thanks!

Thanks! I will do that. I will go OEM.

It might, but realize if you seriously change exhaust flow from stock parts, often a pro would have to reprogram your computer to accept the changes and allow it to pass emissions. most guys go OEM factory parts if they want to pass emissions testing.
