Hello Scotty!
I have a issue that I can't seem to figure out, and I'm hoping you can help me.
I recently bought a 2004 Hyundai Sonata. Before I bought it, I test drove it and had zero problems. I had a friend (who dabbles in mechanic's)take a look at it and see what he thought of the car. He test drove it and had zero issues and couldn't find anything wrong with it. Right after I purchased it, I drove it home and it died right as I pulled into the driveway. So my friend looked at it and said I need a new ignition failure sensor so I, bought it and my friend put in the part. He then tried it and it started, a couple of times. Then it died again. So my friend looked at it again. And said, it was the camshaft position sensor. So I then replaced the camshaft position sensor. And it still won't start. I've tried disarming the security system, putting on a new gas cap, hooking up a code reader and yet the damn thing still won't start. I don't know what else to do! I can't afford to take it to the shop and yet I can't just sit around and do nothing! So please give me some good advice and what other parts could possibly be the issue. And I'd like to thank you for your time! Please let me know if there's anything you can think of or if you know of a common problem that this make/model has issues with in the past. Once again..thank you for your time!

first, NEVER buy a used sonata that's 14 years old, they turn into money pits then. Do this video to attempt finding the cause of no starting though https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=064Ilsz8Fzg&t=107s
