Hello Scotty, I have a 2010 Ford Fusion SE with about 140000 miles on it. I bought it recently and it does have a rebuilt title. I've been trying to fix the a/c on it. The mechanic put on a new a/c compressor for me because the other one was locked up and he recharged everything. For some reason though the a/c pressure sensor is not showing what the gauges are showing. The gauges are showing good. With the car off it shows anywhere from about 15-30psi and between 1 and 1.3v and will go up some when I turn the car off.

I replaced the pressure transducer as well as the connector going to it but it still shows the same. I can kick the compressor on manually and as long as the pressure sensor is showing above 68 psi I can turn the ac on and off no problems with the hvac control module switch. When I turn the ac off though the pressure on the sensor/switch quickly starts dropping, sometimes resting at around 80 psi or so before it drops back down to 15-30 psi. With the compressor on the sensor shows between 150-190 psi and anywhere from 2-3v.

I've been reading and noticed that the pressure transducer switch is very close to the expansion valve. Could a bad expansion valve be causing the pressures to be off at the switch but maybe not the gauges? I also changed the PCM so it should be all updated and everything.

Thank you
