Hello Scotty and Scotty’s community. I have a big dilemma going on. In Dec of last year I was driving my 5 speed 2005 Honda Civic home and I was going faster than I should have. I wasn’t paying attention to the road and hit a driveway sideways at about 80-90 mph. The car was still on when it stopped but the front end was hit pretty bad. I changed the front right tire (that’s where the hardest impact was) and drove it home. It was driving rough and as soon as I turned on my street my car shut off and smoke was coming from under the engine. Idk if it was the transmission or the clutch that was smoking. We pushed my car in front of my house and the next day I went out too turn my car on and it was running fine, it wasn’t overheating or anything which I thought was really strange. BUT when I tried putting my car into gear and driving it it wouldn’t move or budge even a bit. At this point Idk if it’s my clutch that went out or even my axle that went bad? I could really use your help and I’d appreciate tremendously.

Have trusted body & collision shops evaluate it: Is frame bent & transmission damaged?

more than a clutch, odds are you totalled it actually. Last time a customer did that and had full coverage, it was goodbye car from the actual damage. Have a pro at least look at it first.
