Hello Scorry,

I have an old (used) Daihatsu Sirion 2005 1000cc that has never let me down, its always there and starts on the 1st try every time. So in return i try to keep it in top shape.

I think its time to change my tyres, they are dated from 01/2015 and their size is 175/65/R14 ( which i don't think its the original size ). Can i go wider while maintaining the height of the tyre ?

I live in Cyprus where the weather is most of the time hot, we get snow only up in the mountains and in the cities we only get rain during winter. Roads are poorly maintained with potholes and tend to flood with the slightest rain. Also people here drive with total disregard to all the rules of the road so you are often in a situation that you have to hit the brakes and stop immediately.

So to sum up i need a set of tyres that can handle very hot weather, flooded/dirty roads, provide with extra braking power and of course this tyre be available in Europe.

Here most people use Chinese tyres but i don't wanna gamble my life using Chinese rubber.

Thanks Chris
