Hello, my name is Luis. I have a 2004 ford f150 with 115,000 miles and last year it started to misfire I took it to a mechanic and he said it was the timing chain but I didn't hear any noise from the motor but my father insisted that it was but he is not a mechanic or a man that knows much about cars. Then 2 weeks later bank 1 was lean, so back again to the mechanic and ever since its been there for about 6 months and he's been asking for more money to change the engine parts and then he wanted to change the camshaft and then the whole motor. And then I took it for a drive it drove good made a sound that sounded like it was coming from the catalytic converter but he says it's the motor. When I drove it it lost pressure and wouldn't accelerate as fast in lit about a minute or so. Can you please give me advice on what to do such as to take my vehicle or leave it, and if he wants more money to charge me a parking fee should I pay anything if the truck is still in its original state of not running well even if he did do all that stuff to it?? Any advice would be great thank you hopefully you reply. Have a great day.
