Hello Mr.Kilmer, I need help with a car that I saw recently on craigslist. It's a 2006 VW Passat, with 41K miles on it. The owner is asking $6000. It was in an accident so it was rebuilt with another engine. It seems like a good car to buy. I don't have that much experience on cars yet, so I need some expertise advice. What should I look for? (Heres the page of the car )--> https://grandrapids.craigslist.org/cto/d/2006-passat-volkswagen-41k/6236159986.html

Look on a app called let go I don't know what city and state you're in but if you go to Three Rivers Michigan area on that app someone is selling a Jetta that's pretty nice they're selling for 2500 well its a 2005 but it's a beautiful looking car yes I feel this guy's overpricing his vehicle

$6000 for used passat which has been in an accident is way to high. Also on another note the ad seems a little off to me, definitely ringing alarm bells!

A 2006 VW Passat with a clean title is not worth $6000 a rebuilt title is worth 40% of a clean title retail price.

DON'T BUY THE VEHICLE. If it has a rebuilt title, it means that the car has been totaled and possibly shoddily repaired.

I am no Scotty but I think the guy selling is full of ... hot air. The mileage doesn't make any sense and it needed a new engine and a rebuilt title after a bent fender? Give me a break.
