Hello I'm having issues with the electrical on my 1992 Chevy Silverado 2 wheel drive half ton 5.7 motor it's melted a wire under the dash and my fan motor that blows the heat and air into the cab was really hot and then there's a cluster of wires on the firewall and it melted one of them and my battery positive side table was getting really hot in my negative side was corroded help please

But I did the test your thing with the light tester in the battery and it stays on like you hook up the negative side and you hook the light tester to the positive side and then touch the battery positive side yeah it's still stays on so does that mean I got like two wires touching somewhere or something like that

Okay I got rid of all the corrosion

well, first fix or replace all corroded parts. then check all ground wires, as they often go bad on those and make me get hot and melt.
