Hello I have a 2007 Toyota Camry hybrid (push to start )with approx 280,000. I’ve had the car a little over a year and I never had any real mechanical issues until now . I currently have the code c1259- hybrid vehicle control system and regenerative malfunction. For the past 4 days now , I’ve noticed when I’m driving and when I’m trying to speed, the car would not accelerate despite pressing on the gas. I have to immediately turn the car off and on for it to drive normal . There’s nothing that triggers it , it does it randomly . I originally thought speed had something to do with it but it doesn’t because I was stopped at a stop sign and was trying to proceed , the car wouldn’t go . I had to to turn it on/off to get it to work again.I’m beginning to get real nervous as the car stopped in the middle of an intersection yesterday. I checked the fluids they appear “ fine “ the only thing was it had no oil . ( I have no idea why I had an oil change recently ) I immediately put oil in it but the car continues to not accelerate intermittently. I’ve been to the mechanic twice and I’m not getting an accurate diagnosis. I’m really scared for my safety and would like to know if it could be a fuse , a hybrid Camry or the transmission . Thanks !
