Good morning. Toyota doesn't put in the ATF dipsticks for their newer cars anymore. I've seen videos where the dealer would need a special tool to measure the level depending on the fluid's temperature. I've also seen videos where people just measure the amount of oil drained and fill back the exact amount through the fill hole. What do you think? Can I tackle this myself or do I need to take it to the dealer for an ATF drain and fill? what about a local mechanic... Do they generally carry those tools?

drain and fill through the hole is perfectly fine. Most local mechanics do not have tools for that
