Good day! I have a 2002 Gmc Envoy Xl with 156k miles. Lately, it has been overheating...a lot over the past several weeks. I bought antifreeze this past Wednesday and last night the radiator was bone dry and I had to refill it with water twice to get home. I checked my oil, it's not milky, however, I do need an oil change. My radiator overflow tank will bubble loudly and there is a hissing noise when I shut my vehicle off. There are no leaks at all coming from under my vehicle and no smoke coming from the exhaust. I do not know if it is my thermostat or if I have a blown head gasket. One guy says my thermostat is fine because when I squeeze the hosing to the radiator, it gives and bounces back to its form. If I were to squeeze it and the hosing is tight with no give, then my thermostat is bad because there is nothing flowing. Is this accurate about my thermostat? Another guy said because it is hissing when I turn the off the truck, the head gasket is definitely blown? Blown head gasket or bad thermostat? Please help. Thank you!

Head gasket leaking into antifreeze, u can have it checked easy.remove thermostat if u like. See if it changes but I am sticking with best head gasket, worst cracked head or more
