First of all thank you for explaining things in ways even i can understand. Ok, My question is this..I'm a 5'10 female who had a car accident which resulted in a hip operation at just 30 & now have pain getting in/out of the car. I recently got a 2015 equinox(Chevy) which I love. I wanted & need something w/ a decent height to have it be more comfortable to get in & out of, plus I feel safer in higher vehicle or position after my accident. I could actually use a little more height on my equinox. My question is this..if I wanted to add a little height for comfort as well as for my sanity, to help me feel more secure when driving because I'm "higher" than other cars, what are my options? Is there a smart and economical way to do this in your opinion. For instance I've seen everything from lift kits, to people get larger tires or rims (I have no clue if that even makes a different), & other methods found online. I was thinking of going up in tire and rim size to add an inch or 2 to the height, but does that even make your vehicle higher? Im not trying be in a monster truck by any means or anything i have to climb into but just looking for a little bit of height for comfort and confidence when driving. I've used seat cushions but I'm looking for a more permanent thing. I ppreciate your advice or anyones.
Thank you,
Amber

actually, I've seen guys unbolt the seats from the car frame, and weld in higher frame pieces to bolt the seat up higher. messing with tires and stuff makes them run poorly and get worse gas mileage, you dont' want to do that
