Dear Scotty I had the winning bid on an auction flood vehicle and was just informed it won’t start. It’s on another state. What should I do?

Carpet underneath plastic trim will mold & rot. Electrical problems galore, incl. your ECU. If water got into engine, more bad news heaped on other bad news. There's a reason it got sent to auction. Also-- you'd likely never be able to resell it after burning through a lot of repair $$$.

Ditch it Jeff. It’ll cause you no end to electrical issues, were talking years here...... besides you’ll never really get the swampy smell out of interior either.

Most likely its something major than minor. Think about the electrical, mot likely its shot. Even though you managed to fix it, the issue will be there. Even though you are a mechanic, its not worth buying it.

Is there a chance it’s something minor?
