Dear Scotty

I currently Drive a 2003 Chevy Impala with 160,000 miles on it. Generally drives fine but needs a bit of maintenance done, tune up, exhaust leak, etc.

I found a 2008 Impala for sale with 70,000 miles for around $8000. I took your advice and researched the VIN and it came back clean, no accidents or un-fixed Recalls reported. Planning to test drive soon, just wanted to get your opinion. Worth the upgrade?

Thanks for the advice. Ended up getting a 2012 Carmy SE with 85,000 miles, 2.5Lt 4 cylinder engine with 6 speed auto transmission. My first Toyota, here’s hoping it’s as reliable as I’ve heard it is. I plan to have this Car for quite a while.

That Chevy you got is a 2003 and they were still pretty well made at the time but they pretty much got worse and worse from there and 8000k is way way way too much if you ask me... For the same price you can get a nice Camry that will last 5 times as long :)
