I have been saving money to buy a new Honda Civic but I realized I can buy a used BMW 328i (F30) instead and save more than two thousands dollars. Better car for less money sounds like a great idea to me.
Thanks for the feedback. I bought this :)
I highly recommend eurocars to be only leased because of the high maintenance cost. If you lease, you are at ease on the repairs. However, keeping those eurocars will cost you arm and leg to just repair it. BMW, Mercs, Audi, VW are beautiful cars but when it comes to repairing them, it is very complex and complicated. For an example, my 2012 VW jetta 2.5 SE a/c compressor gone bad, and my warranty expired and to repair it it will cost me a whopping $3880 from the dealer. I checked it myself on how to replace a/c compressor and guess what, i have to tear down the whole front end of the car before you can access the compressor. I had problems with EPC and a regular scanner wont tell you the exact problems. Euro brand cars has their own scanners so you either go to the stealership to get your car repaired or go to the mechanic that has all the proper equipment but they will also charge you arm and leg. For my experience, i will not keep another VW or other eurocars. They are too much expensive to repair. Its like having a beautiful high maintenance girlfriend or a hot mama-money-squandering-wife.
They are truly boring. My father had 3 Toyotas and they don't die and cost nothing fix if ever break but the Camry and Avalon are boring or bad looking depending on what model we are talking.
The reason you can afford a used BMW is that they have no resale value due to the high cost of maintenance & parts. The better car for less money in the long run spells "Toyota."
bmw s are all endless money pits
