Break squeaks for the first few minutes and then goes away. I'm thingking if its the breakpad, it should make noise all through out the journey. Or something else.
Wife was complaining about the brakes on her 2016 Nissan Juke squealing during low speed braking. This car has 20,000 miles on it but had factory Nissan pads. We bought it used though.
I was going to pull the pads off and apply some of that CRC brake squeal to the backside of the pads but decided since my time was so valuable, I'd just replace the pads if I had to take them off to apply the CRC stuff. I used Advance Auto "Gold" and the CRC stuff. No more brake squeal. So factory installed pads will squeal just as bad as cheap pads.
The only other car I've ever experience brake squeal on was my Fiat 124 Spider after installing a set of Axxis metal master semi-metallic pads. I pulled them off and went back to the organic or whatever and no more brake squeal.
I agree with Scotty. Nissans are horribly built, too complex cars. They are now putting felt in place of carpet and this car takes about 30 minutes to vacuum. I hate it. I wouldn't but a Nissan as my own personal car. Unless it was a vintage Datsun Z car....
Thanks scotty, i try to have it checked, thanks for all the help. Your the most honest mechanic in the universe, great work!!!!
no, cheap pads squeak early from rust building off, then it's rubbed off and noise stops. I find akebono pads don't do that
