$400 truck good buy or not?

Needs bit tlc.. truck runs good stops but lines are bad can blow anytime, want to make it easier for my self...

I pick this truck up for $400 drove it before I bought it looked it over know it’s rusty badly but the motor purrs and gears all shift fine, 4wd works flawless, so didn’t wanna pass it up... I want to know if I change the fuel pump or maybe check valve and I want to know if I can just rid of the abs system and run lines from master to the rubber lines to caliper ???

If it runs and drives it is a good deal. Brake lines? Well can you fix it yourself? If not think about labor cost.... All that rust? Is the frame solid? Solid frame with some rust beats rusted out unibody hands down! Bought a 2003 Ford Explorer for $1000 (don't laugh or cringe) It had the timing chains fixed (reported as repaired all 3 chains with tensioners 10,000 miles before I bought it. $1500-3000 repair quoted around my area) . It is the two door model has some rust but frame is solid, has the solid rear end not independent, 5 speed and aw disc brakes (I changed the pads, headlight bulb, door locks (no key) ignition had been changed before me, fuel pump and wiper blades. 3 years and has not failed to start /except when I left it sit too long and the battery went dead). It is my back up truck. Not 4x4 power steering hose just blew out, so got to fix that now. Not pretty but it is there when I need it

yes, 400 bucks is nothing. It looks like a rust bucket, so just drive it. don't put much money into it, To remove abs though, you just have to unplug all the electronics to it and it stops working
