I just recently purchased a 2015 Kia Optima and have noticed an issue with the steering that I don’t think is right. The car is drivable, it's just tiring to drive on long journeys and commutes.
The steering is very light, almost too light on the car, and when I drive it on the highway and hold the steering straight, the car wanders left and right making me constantly having to correct it to keep it straight in the center of the lane.
I took it to two Kia dealerships and the first one told me that it was out of alignment and that the issue should be solved, it wasn’t. I took it to another Kia dealership about a month later and they told me that it was possibly the steering coupler but when I got the car back they said it was out of alignment and now it should drive straight without having to constantly correct it from drifting off center. That didn’t fix it either and I don’t want to have to keep spending money to take it in to different shops and dealerships only to be told it's an alignment issue when I know that's not the case.
Do you have any clue as to what the issue could be?
Thanks a bunch!
