2014 Ford Fusion 1.5L ecoboost turbocharged 121,000 miles approx. last time was 120,752 when I had it on my scan tool. Keeps throwing a p0014 code. I tried changing the vvt solenoids and that didn’t help so I took it to the dealer and they showed me where the spark plugs had oil on them and a few of the spark plug coils had oil on them too. Said it needs a new valve cover gasket and the issue will be fixed. Does that sound accurate to you? The repair is over $900. I also changed the oil and filter after replacing the solenoids even though it still had about 50% life left. I also always use the gdi spray cans routinely.

DIY. Save $900. Torque Valve Cover to-Spec. Don't overtighten.
